Mission
Recognized by Forbes Magazine as the #1 Rising City for Startups, Columbus offers a rapidly growing number of resources and opportunities for growing businesses to succeed. Here at Youth MindStart Up we have simple mission: to help cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset in Columbus’s underserved youth.

Our programming was created with two goals in mind:
1) Guidance in creating and learning the basics of business
2) Networking and mentorship directly from the Columbus startup community.
Values
Consisting primarily of Ohio State students, our organization strives to connect our students with the resources and networks from both our university and the Columbus startup. In doing so, we hope to close the achievement gap within Columbus high schools by offering a valuable and enriching opportunity for our students to gain real-world experiences and lessons.

We understand that business isn’t for everyone. Rather, we hope that through our programming, networking, and mentorship, our students possess a broader understanding of the entrepreneurial mindset and an ability to apply them to their future aspirations. We strongly believe in the development of an entrepreneurial mindset rather than an entrepreneur.
